Discover Ancient Egypt in the Heart of Cairns
Step into a world of pharaohs, pyramids and priceless treasures at Tomb of the Pharaohs — one of Tropical North Queensland’s most exciting new attractions.
Created in collaboration with Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, this immersive exhibition recreates eleven spectacular tombs from the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens, allowing visitors to walk through the burial chambers of legendary rulers including King Tutankhamun, Seti I and Ramses the Great.
Featuring over 450 display items, guests can explore stunning hieroglyph-covered passageways, gold funerary treasures, ornate sarcophagi and even the famous gold coffins and death mask of King Tut. One of the highlights is the recreation of High Priest Wahtye’s tomb from Saqqara — rarely seen even in Egypt itself.
More than just a museum, Tomb of the Pharaohs is a journey back in time, bringing ancient Egypt to life through richly detailed recreations and immersive storytelling. Located in the Cairns CBD beside the Cairns Aquarium, the fully air-conditioned attraction offers self-guided experiences, guided tours and dinner packages.
Whether you’re a history lover, family traveller or simply curious about the mysteries of ancient Egypt, Tomb of the Pharaohs offers an unforgettable experience right here in Cairns.
